About the event

Tanya will share the personal career experiences that have driven these principles, aiming to inspire us and provide tangible, technical project examples. She will conclude with a collective call to action, urging every engineer to commit to a specific personal or collaborative goal in 2024 towards accelerating climate action through engineering.

A Principal at Thornton Tomasetti, Tanya de Hoog is the 103rd and fourth woman President of the Institution of Structural Engineers. An experienced and talented structural engineer, Tanya has delivered high profile and complex projects around the world including world-class sporting venues such as the Oval Cricket Ground in London and Lisbon’s Benfica Football Club.
