About the event

EV technologies have rapidly grown for decades now and we will review such  technologies using solid but basic engineering principles we may have forgotten since  our undergrads days.

Dr. Patrick Palmer has been professor in Mechatronic Systems Engineering at Simon Fraser  University since 2019. Dr. Palmer has founded 3 companies and consulted for many top  companies in the industries around the world. Dr. Palmer has taught for 33 years at the  University of Cambridge in United Kingdom and acted as Associated Professor at UBC for  about 5 years. Dr. Palmer is the Emeritus Fellow of St Catharine’s College in Cambridge,  and received his Ph.D and BSc(Eng) in electrical engineering from Imperial College in UK.  He is also a the student apprentice with GEC Rugby for 4 years.
